Senior Investigator - Sex Crimes Division
The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is seeking qualified candidates to be considered for to serve as a Senior Investigator (SI) for OSI's Sex Crimes Division (SCD). The SCD specializes in the investigation of unauthorized relationships, sexual abuse, sexual harassment and related misconduct between incarcerated individuals or parolees and Departmental staff. Additionally, SCD collaborates with others within the Department to ensure compliance with the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), both in its investigations and throughout the Department. The SI is the sixth-level leadership and supervisory level role (under the chief, assistant chief, director, deputy chief investigator, and assistant deputy chief investigator) responsible for overseeing activities within SCD for the geographic area. The SI will report directly to an Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator in SCD. A SI is required to manage a caseload; supervise Canine Investigators; lead small groups on assignments; and assist with the development of strategies, operations, and tactics.

Salary Range:
From $74057 to $91378 Annually
Minimum Qualification
The qualifications include at least four years investigative experience. Experience investigating sex offenses and familiarity with the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) are preferred. Candidates should also have exhibited demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory potential. This position will require a high degree of organizational and writing skills, as well as must be available to respond immediately to incidents and possibly remain in the area as needed. OSI investigative staff must possess, at a minimum, knowledge of the applicable laws, the highest levels of behavior including personal integrity and ethics; fairness; character; judgment; attitude; and respect for and ability to work with others inside and outside OSI. Appropriate licensure and certifications (including being or becoming a peace officer qualified to carry a firearm) are also required. The ability to travel is also necessary.
